Contacted City of Coachella's Environmental Compliance group this morning (5/23/14), who forwarded this report on to their Public Works Dept for follow-up.

Visited the site this morning and saw lots of standing water remaining. Contacted the landlord at (760) 325-1347 who stated that they were unaware of the problem and promised to send someone to unplug the parking lot drain.

Unfortunately, the City reports that because the flooded areas are on "private property", it is up to the property owners to have the basins pumped out so as to allow the remaining water to drain into the basins. If this was in the middle of a large rainfall event, Coachella Emergency Services could be called to assist with emergency protective measures such as sandbags to divert water flow.

The City of Coachella reports that both areas are now dry, and the storm-water basins have percolated as well.
