Nauseating stench coming from the direction of this facility in Mecca, CA. Residents of Mecca have been suffering from nausea, stomach cramps, headaches which is believed to be related to the odors. Facility odors are affecting children and staff at Saul Martinez Elementary School approximately 1-2 miles away.

Western Environmental has removed a problematic wastewater pond in order to alleviate some odors. The facility has also committed to stopping their soy whey pond practices.
